Every AcuJoist flange is tension tested in-line for structural integrity prior to I-Joist assembly. Using CSA and ASTM-verified standards and equipment calibrated by an ISO/IEC accredited third party independent agency, our QA system stretches each 2x3 and 2x4 flange to as much as 10,999 pounds of force, ensuring performance you can trust, flange after flange.

Every 2 hours during production, off-line testing is conducted to assess tension, stiffness, and shear strength. These tests are performed in accordance with ASTM standards, with ultimate loads reaching 3-4 times the design values.
